About Me
Spanish is more than just a language, it represents an entire culture, and what better person to teach you this beautiful language than someone who is part of that culture.
Having been born in Spain, I am perhaps more qualified than any English-born tutor who might try to teach you my language. I spent the first half of my life in Villa Nova - a small town just outside of Barcelona thus Spanish is my first language, however I am also fluent in Catalan.
I devoted most of my studies in Spain to learning English, where I achieved an advance level before moving to Brighton where I have now been resident for many years.
I have spent in total nearly 20 years studying language to the point my spoken English is near perfect - only my accent gives me away! Therefore I have a huge amount of experience in how language works and the best ways to teach it.
I now have 2 children of my own, who although born in Brighton, will end up being fluent in Spanish - whether they like it or not!
My Approach
Every teacher has their own approach. My style is very laid back, I like my students to be relaxed and to have fun whilst learning Spanish. The key to it is to make the lesson as enjoyable and interesting as possible. At the moment where it starts to feel boring or like too much hard work, that is the point where the learning process breaks down.
I work at a pace which suits YOU and I have an infinite amount of patience! I am more than happy to explain things as many times as it takes until you understand what is being said.
